Brugal Añejo rum

Brugal Añejo

Dominican Republic | Gold | 40% ABV

Brugal Anejo rum is a blend of rums aged 3 to 5 years in used American white Oak barrels that previously held whiskey and bourbon.

The rum is produced in the Dominican Republic by Brugal & Co., a company that was founded in the late 1800s by the Spaniard Andrés Brugal Montaner. Today, the Brugal rum company remains largely in the control of Montaner's direct descendants.

Not sweet compared to older rum but great for cuba libre

I'd never buy a bottle of this, but sometimes at a club when the alternatives are even worse you always know it is drinkable standart. Far not as smooth as better Brugals like Brugal XV.

Although very light, taste like newspapers with some caramel. Strong ethanol push. Very young

Sugar: 7 gpl. A middle of the road rum. Strong oak taste tempered with a bit of caramel, and is probably in the 5 grams per litre mark for sugar, which I would class as a dry rum. Works well as a cocktail rum, but not so good as a sipping rum.

I do not like this rum. It has a strange aftertaste, even with cola. Had a hard time drinking this rum. Do not buy it!!

It´s a budget mixer, and mixes ok, but there are better options.

I highly recommend this bottle. For straight shots its great, also its amazing with coke if straight up is not your thing. All around one of my favorites always have a few bottles on deck. Can't beat the price point for the quality around here.

Tried this rum while on a cruise between Turks and Caicos and Bonaire. This is a very nice sipping rum. Mild in taste, smooth finish. Excellent!

This will light a fire in your belly, and not necessarily in a good way. It's harsh, somewhat severe. Burnt sugar and charcoal. I suppose in a pinch it'll scratch the itch, but throw it in a glass of Coca-Cola with a splash of lime and you're in business.

Nothing special. Usual ron for cheap party occasions. I tasted it on the trip to Saona island in Dominican Republic. Mixed with cola on the white sand beach. It's good and the sun is shining, Carribean.
