En j忙vnt kedelig rom, der olle har s忙rlig meget at byde p氓.
I鈥檝e been sipping it slowly trying to find the taste I did not like. Well it鈥檚 the cork if it wasnt of that over persistance of the cork taste it would be okay but now I鈥檓 disapointed I purchased it
Firts it鈥檚 a chock, you get a strong alcohol dry taste. Then you begin to taste the wood and for 5 to 10 minutes u still enjoy the soft taste. If it wasn鈥檛 for the strong alcohol taste in the beginning it would be a 9 for me. Definitely a good longaftertasty rum!
This is the first rum I bought as a sipper. I have since learned to stay away from bourbon cask rums, but this one wasn鈥檛 too bad. It was smooth and wasn鈥檛 overwhelming with the whiskey like quality that some rums can get from bourbon barrels.
Update: Excuse my foolishness. This is delightful rum that my virgin palate could not fully appreciate on first taste. I highly recommend this easily accessible, dry rum.
I had the liquor store here bring it in. It鈥檚 very tasty but again I mix it. It鈥檚 good but has that twang that I don鈥檛 like but mixed with coke it鈥檚 amazing.
Wow, this is a smack on your lips. The nose is strong, full of spices, chocolate and wood. Although this is 40 ABV, it feels warmer than that. The palate is more dark tones, wood, spices, burn sugar (maybe) and the finish is long. Even after 15 seconds, my tongue continues to spark like fireworks, dry. If you like bourbon, this could be a good try, as this rum seems to have a strong influence from the ex-bourbon casks.
Same as 1888 just a Different bottle: This is a nice Rum, but I expected more. Its not sweet enough and a bit too dry for my taste. Its more like a whisky than a rum. Interesting enough the barrels used for this particular rum then go one to be used on The Mcallan 17, Brugal is known for a particular taste and style, but for this price I would have expected much more. Can be enjoyed Neat.
Smells Devine. Strong oak smell with vanilla at the end. No sweetness.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I'm not a fan of Brugal but this is something different. Its very smooth compared to their Anjeo which really packs a punch and is very dry. It get the Sherry cask aging but its not over done and balances out the dryness adding hints of fruit and sugar. It's a good rum and very much worth trying.
