A nice sipper, finding it difficult to decide if i like it more than siglo de oro. A little dry, oak, spice, licorice and maybe even a little salty.

This is a nice, smooth sipping rum. It's not too sweet and almost complex enough to justify the price. I say "almost" because there is a little something flat in the finish. It's not as noticeable a hole as in their Extra Viejo, but it's still a letdown considering I can get RL Seale's 10-year for cheaper.

Good sipper, nice finish. Didn’t buy this one so I don’t know if it’s a good value. Need to try again.

Bought this rum on a trip to punta cana to celebrate our anniversary. We visited the factory and left with this one.its nice not too sweet. And has a lovely golden colour Can be drunk straight or with coke. heavy glass bottle looks great in my home bar.

OK, good, but a bit on the 'average' side. It tries to cover all the bases yet ends up with no distinctive notes. A great sipping rum which won't upset many palates.

Like fine scotch, every fine rum going into my mouth does so without hindrance from mixes, water or ice. Neat cant be beat.

It's literally Brugal Anejo.

I like brugal anejo so I tried this thinking it would be an upgraded version. No it literally is Brugal Anejo in a different bottle. What confuses me is how Brugal Anejo is 6/10 but this one sits around 8/10. I guess the higher price and "1888" number makes us think it's better quality.

Brugal 1888 er en rom uden den store eftersmag, sødmen er lige ved at gøre den tør. Ikke min favorit.

Tør rom. Lidt sødme. Ok til prisen.

I very much enjoyed this rum. Notes of banana, coconut, and vanilla are primary while a hint of glue comes through (may sound weird but it is good). A very sweet and fruity rum, well balanced and smooth. Mixing would be a shame!

Es un ron sabroso pero inclusive parece que lo hubieran aguado, no es un premium
