Selvarey White

ok, so it's not as X rated in terms of it "shouldn't be legal" like the Cacao one is, but this is unequivocably, the smoothest, cleanest white rum you've ever had. it's unreal. it's amazing. ah mayy zzing neat. NEAT. WARM RUM HAS NEVER BEEN SO UNHOLY AND WONDERFUL. it's that good. it literally puts every other rum you own to shame and you should throw them out of your cupboard. and you should feel proud about that. seriously, go high five a stranger, you're doing amazing things. drink this rum. it's clean, crisp. smooth. IT DOESNT BURN. no harshness, brah. it finishes on the palate in a cleansing manner, not a "oh golly, i shouldnt have done that" manner.

Neat it's super smooth, very pronounced vanilla taste, with grassy and stone fruit notes on the finish. Makes a very intriguing daiquiri, although I find it almost *too* smooth and gentle for that job (a blend of 1 oz this 1 oz Flor de Cana Extra Seco does it for me). This is one I'll be savoring and recommending lots.

This rum has a nice citrus nose. It almost reminds me of 7 up on the back end of the nose.

I'm not a neat rum drinker but when you mix it it is great!

With this taste, I finished the bottle, woot! seemed like a true accomplishment
For the record, this is a/the Bruno Mars rum and it is in bourbon casks.

Finally tried this in some cocktails and it came through. Very good rum for your mixed drinks.

Tasted at Laka Lono on 4/11/21. Aroma of rising dough and honey. Mild sweetness- honeysuckle. The flavor has an up front immediate sweetness followed by a balance of alcohol bite. This is a solid rum on every level. Yum.

This one is a stand alone sipper rum and really needs nothing. But a daiquiri is one of the authentic mixed tests for a rum (except for sipping neat). Here is my result:

2 SelvaRey white (Panama 80 proof)
3/8 lime juice (fresh)
1/8tsp caster sugar
Shake 10 cracked, martini glass, ice shard, thin lime wheel float

Very very smooth. Not a lot of nuance to the flavor so not really worth sipping but hey it’s a white rum. Very good mixer as there’s no burn whatsoever. I made a daiquiri with half of this and half some Jamaican rum and it was really good.

It's not great but it's fairly smooth with little bite and a semi-sweet taste. Definitely worth trying.

Mixing it with with common soda is incredible. I love this Rum and Amanda is an unbelievable rep and ambassador for his company!
