Selvarey White

This one is a stand alone sipper rum and really needs nothing. But a daiquiri is one of the authentic mixed tests for a rum (except for sipping neat). Here is my result:
DAIQUIRI (SELVAREY) 32% ABV
EXCEPTIONAL CUBAN-STYLE WHITE RUM MADE IN PANAMA, LIME JUICE, CASTER
SUGAR
BALANCED, WITH MUTED-SUGAR FINISH. RUM PEEKS THROUGH.
X1 tested 8/2 2022 This beautiful sipping white rum really needs no additions!
2 SelvaRey white (Panama 80 proof)
3/8 lime juice (fresh)
1/8tsp caster sugar
Shake 10 cracked, martini glass, ice shard, thin lime wheel float

Drinking it neat, it's the best rum I've tasted and was an excellent mixer.

This unique White Rum has so much flavor and stands out beautifully in any cocktail. The natural vanilla notes and hint of lime zest make it enjoyable by itself as well. I am blown away by SelvaRey!

ok, so it's not as X rated in terms of it "shouldn't be legal" like the Cacao one is, but this is unequivocably, the smoothest, cleanest white rum you've ever had. it's unreal. it's amazing. ah mayy zzing neat. NEAT. WARM RUM HAS NEVER BEEN SO UNHOLY AND WONDERFUL. it's that good. it literally puts every other rum you own to shame and you should throw them out of your cupboard. and you should feel proud about that. seriously, go high five a stranger, you're doing amazing things. drink this rum. it's clean, crisp. smooth. IT DOESNT BURN. no harshness, brah. it finishes on the palate in a cleansing manner, not a "oh golly, i shouldnt have done that" manner.

Mixing it with with common soda is incredible. I love this Rum and Amanda is an unbelievable rep and ambassador for his company!

The fact the age the rum and then charcoal filter it gives this rum so much flavor and it’s so smooth!

Bought a bottle at Bevmo. Sipped it neat with some friends and we all thought it was delicious. We then tried it next to Bacardi which is basically rubbing alcohol compared to selvarey. It makes a really perfect daiquiri too. Highly recommend.

SelvaRey, you've got my attention!

Like many of you, I was searching for a White Rum to sip neat or on the rocks and was consistently pretty disappointed. That is, until I stumbled on SelvaRey White Rum. On the nose, you do get some of the "heat" that is typical to White Rums, however, this is balanced nicely by a pleasant vanilla note and fresh citrus. I found that this "heat" isn't found on the palate as much, but instead a very soft mouthfeel that is almost velvety. There is an incredible note of lightly toasted marshmallow on the palate that must come from the aging process, which I read is 3-5 years in American White Oak. All in all, this is a fantastic White Rum sipper at a reasonable price.
