...said the friend who gave it to me. Not a bad description.
Stylish tall art deco-ish bottle
Cork stopper
Colour: dark amber
Nose: restrained wood and tobacco notes, understating what is to come
Mouth: a luscious - almost oily - feel with a slowly developing big aroma of dried fruits and figs turning over into gentle woody notes with very subtle vanilla
Sweetness 4/5 but underpins the flavours well without being to cloying, but could be too much for the RL Seale fans.
Burn: kicks in gently, makes itself known and fades slowly
Summary: a great full-on sipper, treading the sugar line carefully
750ml Bottle
Nice lacing on the glass. Smell is mildly sweet and alcohol. The taste is not too sweet, but not too hot like whiskey. Very easy to sip on ice. A little bit of vanilla, a little bit of smoke. Very well balanced. I'll keep a bottle around for an occasional drink. Goes well with a mild cigar.
Definitely the stuff I look for with sipping rums. Smell: very nice, oak. Taste: very subtle mix of vanilla and oak, the latter being well pronounced (in a good way). I have no idea how much a full bottle costs (just had a couple of free glasses of it), so I can't comment on that.
Quel douceur, encore une réussite à saluer, beaucoup de caractère, un rhum qui mérite amplement sa place dans une belle collection.
Light sipping rum. Not overly sweet. Light amber color.
Lecker Rum
Hat mit positiv überrascht!!!
Werde ihn weiter genießen!!!
I like the armor. A hint of vanilla and oak, it finishes like a bourbon, It would go great with a mild cigar
I tested this after asking for suggestin on Rumfestival and I liked it a lot. A lot of taste and body with long aftertaste, vanilla and dark amber.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It's always great to take one off the old wish list; found this great one in Vegas.
If these were ratings based on smell alone; this would be a 10. It reminds me of one of my favourites; Panamonte.
The taste holds it own as well; although not as refined as the aforementioned Panamonte.
Still really tasty with just the right amount of fruit and not overly sweet.
It definitely fills the ranks as a special occasion rum.
