30 years old to age a rum and bring back to 40% seems insane, but regardless of the proof here are my thoughts. It’s New Years morning 2022, I’ve been drinking DP 18 all evening. Decided to open my long waited 30 and it’s excellent. Nose very smooth not much going on, first sip mildly smooth slightly sweet with a long tail. Lots of depth. I think I will rate again tomorrow on a fresh pallet side by side Zafra 30 from same distillery.

First thought at 2:22 New Years morning 9-10.not sure it’s worth the premium price.

I když na lahvi je psáno "Aged 30 Years", dle podrobnějších specifikací na stránkách 1423.dk jde jen o "směs až třicetiletých rumů" z Panamy. Takže celkem sprosté klamání zákazníků. Toto jsem zjistil až dnes, s odstupem několika dnů od ochutnávky a sepsání recenze, čímž se moje pochybnosti z ochutnávky vysvětlily.
Alkohol: 40 %
Původ: Panama
Aroma: Cedr, kakao. Hřejivá kořenitost, lesní med. Trochu ve stylu dominikánských rumů od Oliver and Oliver. (85 b)
Chuť: Nasládlý jen lehce. Cedr, mírně větrový (anýz, badyán). Tělo vzhledem k označení 30 yo dost tenké, chybí plnost, hloubka a vyzrálost. (85 b)
Body: 85/100
Shrnutí: Naprosto průměrný a zapomenutelný kousek, s ohledem na cenu (u nás 10 000, v zahraničí tak 9 000) by šlo o naprosto nesmyslný nákup. Buďte obezřetní a nenechte se napálit.
Normálně by 85 bodů odpovídalo osmičce, ale za ten podvod snižuju na 6.

- ve vůni částečná Zacapa, sladkost, ale silnější, vanilka, sušené ovoce, pomeranč, koření
- chuť sladká, vanilka, dřevo, ovoce, ozve se pepř, končí opět jemností
- závěr slaďoučký, jemný

Fantastic says it all! Off the hook from nose to the loooooong finish. Very tasty well balanced, just what you would expect from a rum of this caliber. Gonna run you $400/bottle but hey what the heck its great.

Bam! The best I've ever had! $600 a bottle is well worth the ride.
