Coffee, chocolate, caramel and dried fruits flavors with pastry taste and mocha. Not very long aftertaste.

On the nose there is nuts, cocoa, raisins and molasses, when I let it rest for a while in the glass, the combinatoin of smell components starts to reminisce of red wine. The taste starts with strong entry of slightly sweet molasses, the body is rather simple, molasses and dried fruits, turning cocoa-bitter with a touch of licorice, the aftertaste is again simple, with spicy and a bit bitter molasses. The best part is the smell, the molasses then dominate in both taste and aftertaste, the rum does not have any interesting smell and taste components developed and the price is same as El Dorado 15, which is a completely different league. Too young and simple, too high price to fully appreciate this one. Sugar content zero or close to zero, which is a plus (but this time some 15gpl of demerrara sugar would maybe actually help), the review is based on 50ml sample.

A bit too oaky, and too ethanolic for my taste, raisins on the background.

Tried on a rum tasting evening... before I knew how to take notes!

Smooth sweet molasses with a taste of clove and candied apple, then comes the light wood linger. Excellent. I had been holding off on buying this one for quite awhile. A great demerara blend. This is in my must try column. This bottle had me going on a google quest about the history of Guyana and Demerara- Essequibo. Would do again.

Many tastes in one bottle. Second barrel during aging is burned with sugar cane, that bring deep caramel color and notes of wood, leather, tobacco, rubber, wine fruit and many more. Not for everybody, good with blue cheese. First sweet than bitter and with unique olive flavor.

Lekkere rum met een kruidige zoete geur en een lekkere zoete kruidige smaak met een krachtige afdronk

Didn't care for this the first few times but it's growing on me. Sweet to start, finish starts well but gets bitter. Caramel and vanilla taste, but chocolate??Underwhelming at the price point.

barva tmavě hnědá
ve vůni i v chutí jsou cítit typické tóny Guyana, silná káva, expresso, mírně doslazované
