Rum Nation Demerara Solera No. 14
Score: 6
Duft: let skjult sødme & peber.
Smag: rommen mangler smag, det eneste jeg rigtig fornemmer er peber i slutningen. “Kedelig”
Score: 6,5
God duft, mørk karamel/sukker, smag, god sødme bliver lidt tør af alkoholen en del peber.
(2022 - 6,5 - smag: god dybet i smagen men lidt af brændt karamel, alkoholen er lidt for domineren.)

Dva prv skúšané rumy tejto značky (10-ročná Panama a 8-ročný Barbados) ma príliš neoslovili, boli dosť sladké a málo komplexné (vanilka, karamel), s krátkym zakončením. Dotretice skúšam Demeraru Solera No 14. Subjektívne niečo medzi 7 a 8, napokon volím nižšiu hodnotu kvôli citeľnému dochucovaniu (viac cukru) a aktuálne vyššej cene.

Good stuff. Very sweet and very dark. The sherry finish left it's mark and can be recognized. Recommended.

Al naso caffè, liquirizia, zucchero, cacao.
Al palato caffè, cacao, melassa, qualche spezia, finale quasi inesistente un po' salino e arrostito

It is a 40% ABV molasses rum from British Guyana. It is a blend of various vintages of both pot and column rums. This blend is aged in American oak barrels, where bourbon had been aged previously. Finally, the rum is aged for 12 months after sherry oloroso and Pedro Ximenez. Finally, a small amount of old Guyanese Enmore rum is added to the final blend.

Bottle: Classic round.
Colour: Dark mahogany.

Nose: Very intense, a little pungent and spicy. There is molasses, pepper, caramel, ginger, sherry wine and woody notes.
Mouth: On first sip it was slightly watery and bitter. Later, it sweetens slightly. There was caramel, bitter cocoa, pepper, black bitter tea, liquorice and tannins.
Aftertaste: Medium.

Summary: This is a rum for slightly more experienced rum drinkers and especially for fans of British-style rums. The taste is a bit thin at first, but later fills out with a nice mix of sweetness and woodiness.
Rating: 8/10

Smokey on the nose with a wood and charcoal flavor. Noting overpowering, just a nice smooth flavor.

Oh this is definitely among my favourites. I feel walnut first, then dark chocolate, finally coffee. I love the slighlty bitter taste and the smell of these three. The color is wonderful and the smell is better than the Dictador Amber 100 I rated 8 points with its similar taste. On the other hand, this difference is clearly visible in their price too.

The rum tasted just like most of the sweet, popular crowd that sell so well - faint smell, sweetness, and what was worst, I saw in a table of measured alcohol that it is actually bottled underproof (it's cheaper, and "smooth").

Recommended only for old ladies or people who actually hate alcohol.

Tasted from a tiny sample bottle: very brisk with sharp flavour, no particular taste.
