Many tastes in one bottle. Second barrel during aging is burned with sugar cane, that bring deep caramel color and notes of wood, leather, tobacco, rubber, wine fruit and many more. Not for everybody, good with blue cheese. First sweet than bitter and with unique olive flavor.

Rich copper amber in the glass.
Elegant and balanced on the nose. Freshly baked vanilla buns from the wood oven filled with fresh fruit, a little caramel and spicy herbs. A wooden barrel band plays gentle melodies in the background.
Warm and soft on the palate, a gentle carpet of flavors is rolled out on the tongue. Vanilla cream with fresh cut fruit, mango, banana and melon is savored with a caramelized wooden spoon.
On the finish, the wood and caramel linger a bit longer on the tongue.
An unspectacular Solera rum that nevertheless tastes good. For beginners and Solera lovers.

Tried on a rum tasting evening... before I knew how to take notes!
Smokey on the nose with a wood and charcoal flavor. Noting overpowering, just a nice smooth flavor.
Dva prv skúšané rumy tejto značky (10-ročná Panama a 8-ročný Barbados) ma príliš neoslovili, boli dosť sladké a málo komplexné (vanilka, karamel), s krátkym zakončením. Dotretice skúšam Demeraru Solera No 14. Subjektívne niečo medzi 7 a 8, napokon volím nižšiu hodnotu kvôli citeľnému dochucovaniu (viac cukru) a aktuálne vyššej cene.

In my view a little too sweet but overall an easy-to-like rum.
Didn't care for this the first few times but it's growing on me. Sweet to start, finish starts well but gets bitter. Caramel and vanilla taste, but chocolate??Underwhelming at the price point.
Initial aroma is one of caramel and butterscotch. .
"It has sufficient oak and spice to reveal some ageing but the spiciness has a hit of younger alcohol."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A dark reddish amber fills the glass. The potent aroma gives of notes of candied apples, tobacco, sweet english liquorice, cocoa, burnt brow sugar and perhaps a hint of citrus. Nice.
The taste is medium bodied and way sweeter than what the nose led me to expect. There's notes of cocoa, coffee, liquorice roots, lemon zest and slightly spicy tingles at the end. Can't help thinking what a shame it is to overpower an otherwise interesting rum, with added sugar.
