Arehucas 12-Year

Schönes Bernstein im Glas.
In der Nase sind flüchtige Düfte von Holz, Karamell und ein paar Beeren wahrzunehmen.
Am Gaumen etwas eindimensional, Karamell, Holz und bitteres Zeugs.
Im Abgang bleibt nichts und ein wenig Bitterkeit übrig.
Ein schnöder Rum, zu Bitter und Seelenlos. Für Mutige und Entdecker.

Beautiful amber in the glass.
The nose has fleeting scents of wood, caramel and a few berries.
On the palate a bit one-dimensional, caramel, wood and bitter stuff.
The finish leaves nothing and a little bitterness.
A brash rum, too bitter and soulless. For the brave and explorers.

Aroma is light and weak. Taste is sweet with honey and molasse. Not complex and short aftertaste but overal not bad, especialy when produced at Canary Islands :-)

Un autre rhum qui est a la fois une bonne surprise mais qui reste dans le peloton sans se détacher.

Nice sweet smell with little wood. Strong ethanol taste little bitter with wood.

Nijak mě neoslovil a oproti osmnáctce je dost lihový a ostřejší. Spíše bych sáhl po jeho vyzrálejší edici.

The smell is a little bit shy first. I get thin and bright aromas. Some moldy wood, that's white oak and apricots, also some orange and vanilla. Some champignon, earth and cloves aroma is in the background, it's a multicolum distillation. I hope the dilution is not too high in the taste.

The taste starts with paper (wood), vanilla and apricot. There is just a hint of sweetness.
Then I get cloves, some burned sugar, some bitter notes and champion. This reminds me a little bit of Bacardi.
The finish starts with spice, vanilla, grasy notes, cloves and pepper.

The aromas are not special, the dilution is ok.
I would rate it with 59 points.

Taste: paper (wood), vanilla, cloves, some burned sugar, some bitter notes and champion
Finish: spice, vanilla, grasy notes, cloves pepper

Me costó 17'50€ y la verdad como va estuchado no me molesté en mirarlo, tiene posos y es por el corcho, pero está cojonudo fuerte pero dulce con gran dulzor en el final, desde luego para tomarlo solo o con hielo, nunca para mezclar, no sé si decantarlo o dejarlo como está....por cierto la foto que aparece aquí tiene no es, hay que actualizarse y poner las fotos actuales, flaco favor os hacéis......

A very decent rum. But for the price in the canary islands, it's better to go for the 18 years old

Arehucas 12 years is a cheap rum perfect for mixing with coke or lemon (my personal preference).
