Brugal XV

Got this as a gift from real Dominicans! Mild, sweet but not that intricate in terms of flavor. Good as a weekday sipper on ice, or in your favorite cocktail

Nice nose, pineapple, artificial cocos like cocos-flavored soap.
Taste a little bit boring and weak, what a pity. Some brown sugar. Soft alcohol, means easy to drink but no masterpiece. Here "tasty but not quite great" fits for me. No finish.

Nice taste and smell. I tested it in Dominican Republic, bought it in Higuey city in Sirena shop, to make evening drinks with fruits.

Enjoyed a glass of this on my balcony, on a holliday in punta cana. To me this is where the Brugal lineup starts to pick up the pace a little bit. It has a light scent of caramel and vanilla. The rum is medium bodied and the palette offers notes of vanilla and sweet molasse with a light burn in the end. It's a doable sipper and a good mixer, but for the same money you can get the el dorado 12 which is in a different league.

With XV Brugal has definitely improved their rum offering.
With a bit of tipping you can usually get XV in place of the lesser offerings at the all-inclusives in the Domincan Republic.
It is definitely smoother and quite easy to drink, however it does not have the well developed flavors of the better sipping rums.

Brugal XV reserva is nothing of special, aggressive and not equilibrate rum.
Is better to mix with cola.

...the taste is too mild and not memorable, better as a mixer...
The smell is very alcoholic

Its à ok rum but not for another Bottle.
