Brugal XV

Len med lite spritsmak. Helt ok men ingen riktig karaktär.

Je pensais ramener une excellente bouteille de la République Dominicaine, XV (15 ans) je n'aurai pas dû me fier au nom. Un rhum sans arômes, que je garde pour les mixs.

A friend brought this back for me from the D.R. along with a bottle of Macorix 8. Between the 2 I like the Macorix 8 better but this Brugal XV is an enjoyable sipper.

I had only drink it with coke. Nothing special. Very caramelly. I don;t like that.

nice sweet caramel and vanilla. it's good enough for sipping, better for cuba libre

De la familia de los Brugal es el segundo mejor después del 1888 que he probado. No lo volvería a comprar pero si me lo invitan...

Of course this bottle is easy to drink and smoth, but the problem is it is not much different to the Brugal anjeo, which is just half the price. I really don't understand their portfolio policy. Hence worse grading than their standard bottle.

I picked this up last week in duty free in P. Plata airport. $15 / £11:50.
Smoother than I expected at the price. Perfectly drinkable either neat or over a ice cube.
Not tried it with coke yet, but I imagine it will be spot on.
If you are at a airport with a few dollars to get rid of, it’s well worth a try.

Now tried with coke, fine.
Even better with ginger ale, asvin Dark and Stormy, even though itd not s dark rum.

Mostly just honey. A little floral perfume. Some cloying maltiness in the finish.
