New Grove Old Tradition 8-Year

Mes premières dégustations m'avaient déçu. Je le trouvais "quelconque", presque un mauvais cognac.
En persévérant il a trouvé sa place sec à l'apéritif. Doux mais pas trop, un nez sur le caramel, une bouche ronde mais sèche également. Il remplace avantageusement un bon whisky blend et plait aux femmes

N- Bright and uplifted citrus peels, sour smokes with lots of orange with zings of pineapple and obvious vanilla coating. Aromatic wood with generous quality sweet fruits. Clean, pleasant and delicious, nice as it is, no nonsense with those hidden dark spice, caramel and so on. Nice as it is. (22/25)

P- The smokes carry on from the aroma, with first sip of ashy earths to balanced things out, followed by charming icing sugar coated strawberry, fat creamy vanilla come thru, as well whiff of unwelcome usual caramel lurking in the back. (21/25)

F- Medium, crisp and dry. Creme anglaise, minted aromatic compote of banana, sweet mango and pineapple breakfast fruit salad drizzle with honey? Perhaps~ (21/25)

Balanced:- Surely for those with sweet tooth, with timely dryness emerge for a clean finish. (21/25)

Woody, ashy, pop corn with light coating of caramel with fresh stone fruits aroma.
Taste slightly similar to what I got on nose. Smokey, ashy and sweet pineapple with a tiny bite (sour bite which usually found in unripe pineapple).
Soft tannin from aging which stick on to gum which I enjoy pretty much. Dry and long finishing with aroma of banana lingering.

Schönes Bernstein im Glas.
In der Nase der Duft von einem Karamell Bonbon das auf Eichenholz klebt und langsam an der Sonne zerläuft. Auch die Mauritius typischen medizinal-pflanzlichen Düfte sind präsent.
In Gaumen eher etwas sperrig und wild im positivem Sinn. Holz, Harz, Mango, Pflaume buhlen um die Gunst der Geschmacksknospen.
Im Abgang lang anhaltend, Kräuter und Gewürze mit einer Priese Salz.
Ein "purer" Rum mit Ecken und Kanten für Entdecker und Liebhaber dieser Machart . Leider nichts für Süss-Rum Geniesser. 7+

Beautiful amber in a glass.
In the nose the scent of a caramel candy that sticks to oak wood and slowly melts in the sun. Also the Mauritius typical medicinal herbal scents are present.
In the palate rather bulky and wild in a positive sense. Wood, resin, mango, plum vie for the favour of the taste buds.
Long finish, herbs and spices with a pinch of salt.
A "pure" rum with corners and edges for discoverers and lovers of this style. Unfortunately nothing for sweet rum connoisseurs. 7+

Vune je velmi zajimava neco jako fiky a horici ovocne drevo. Chut je podstatne drsnejsi, dub a kour. Dozvuk je dlouhy a prijemne hrejivy

Aroma is nice and fruity. Taste is sweet with peach and exotic fruit tones. but no added sugar. Aftertaste is not long but pleasant.

Duft af frugt og især af syltetøj. Faktisk ret meget, hvilket giver en forventning af noget sødt, men smagen lever ikke op til duften. Smag af fad, lidt tobak og lidt lakrids. Er lidt sprittet, som giver en tørhed i munden, der gør at man bliver tørstig. Har smagt rom, der var meget dårligere, men bestemt også bedre. (3. December 2018)

Den er lidt sprittet i både duft og smag, men giv den tid i glasset og den åbner sig og bliver en dejlig kraftig rom. Den kan give lidt indre varme hen på efteråret, med peber og hint af chili i smagen

8 years aged rum from Mauritius with no additives.
Aroma with dried fruit, honey and hints of tobbaco.
Flavour is rich with some refreshing tones in the middle. There are hints of tee, cinnamon and bit of smoke.
Long mild, sweet and woody aftertaste.

Its doing to my health, I eat lots of morphin everyday and i dont like to mix drugs and alchol thats the reason.
