Sladký rum, s výraznou ,příjemnou vůní rozinek, medu, hnědého cukru, skořice ,mandlí,dřeva. Chuť též intenzivní sladce medová,ořechová. První láhev měla v dochuti silně přehnanou dřevitost, další byla už naprosto v pořádku. Takže je to také o láhvy. Některá je více povedená, některá méně. Esence dokonalého sladého karibského rumu.
Part II of three Oliver rums I brought back from DR. I taste even more sugar than Opthimus 25, that is already at 35g/l. More a liqueur than a rum.
For my taste this is perfect, just the right amount of sweetness. I love the fruity and caramel taste and great long finish.
Lovely sweet and very tasty, vanilla, chocolate and toffee...
Cherries, raisins, caramel and a lot of others I find difficult to discern... still a rookie. Very good rum!
Beau nez. Rhum élégant sur le café et les épices. Doux, mais avec du corp. Rhum d'exception.
Nice, rich but a bit expensive... Taste reminds me Quorhum 30 or Presidente 23. Compare to Quorhum 30 this is little thinner, with a tinny more aggressive alcohol aftertaste but less bold & same time more elegant-soft. Also it has little less orange peel & spice-pepper taste & dry bourbon-oak and a touch more exotic fruits & sweetness. To be frank equal with Quorhum 30, but Quorhum 30 is much better price tag. Over all the UNHIQ XO is a very good original aged rum with good marketing (smaller bottle and more expensive), the taste is smooth with medium sweetness and balance bourbon touch in the end (very close to 9).
I was waiting very long to try this beauty and it was worth it! Nice aroma of caramel, vanilla and oak. In mouth you can feel that is a bit stronger (43%) but it is very smooth and nicely sweet. Flavours of vanilla, caramel, honey, nuts and oak. Reason why I did not rate it 10 is beacuse its very close to other top Oliver rums with better price.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Very good rum, perfectly balanced, 42% alcohol.
The master blender did a really good job here. This is a work of art, it's perfectly blended.
You can keep it in your mouth for a while and it will tell you it's story in the language of aromas.
The taste is in my imagination red, balanced, sweet, rich and with red fruit aromas (that's because of the sherry finish).
Red rubber rings are very dominant and they suggest a very old age of this rum.
If you like sweet rums with PX sherry finishes like Cubaney or Quorhum you must taste this one.
I would rate that one (in the sweet rum category) with 92 points.
Smell: px sherry, old oak barrel, cherry, barrel/gum and earth, dry fruits, burned sugar
Taste: Sweet wood, cinemon, caramel, fruits (orange/apricot/cherry), spice, rubber rings
Finish: middle long, wood, some spices, slightly warm burn, cherries and rubber again
