Caramel and alcohol aroma, sweetness in the beginning, maybe decent almond taste.

Of course it is subjective matter, but very balanced taste, more to sweet one but not too much, long lasting, wonderful smell and consistency, great design of bottle. If you are more for sweet and do not care much about real rum I tell you try it. I assume that almost every beginner like it until he/she discover what is lost behind plenty of added sugar.

So much hapen here, cherry-orange, pepper, honey, wood-smoke & sweet flavours in very good way, extreamly smooth-buttery. This is thick (somewhat fat butter or soap feeling but not in bad way) with minimal burn, dry is far away. Also it is aged with medium to long aftertaste, i can feel the oak without overpowering ... Be careful A. H. Riise Non Plus Ultra might be enough sweet for you if you preferred less sweetend rums like Zacapa XO, Diplomatico Single Vintage, El Doarado 21.... or semi dry rums (very close to 9 but for me it is enough sweet & 1 glass is ok).

As I like A H Riise rums, this is the top of my list so far. Great taste and flavour. Ratings under 5 is complete bullshit according to other trash rum-like products, yes, it is expensive, but worth every penny.
First choice for me. Harmonic, soft and tasty. Great stuff

Vůně sladká, příjemná, ovocná po višních a tabáku.
Chuť plná, ovocná, trochu vanilky a tabáku. sladká, ale ne lepidlo. Dlouhá dochuť, ale bez jakýchkoliv pachutí.

Jeden z bardziej interesujących rumów jakie piłem. Bardzo oryginalny, jak każdy Riise słodki, ale tutaj mocno czuć pomarańczę. Fajny, dość długo posmak. Bardzo łagodny w smaku. Niby ma wszystko co potrzeba, ale jednak finalnie coś i mi i znajomym coś w nim przeszkadza. Ale zdecydowanie warto spróbować!

Rare taste like smooth liqueur...little sweet and finish is breathtaking....smell of oak is present.

This rum is on my recommendation list for one who likes sweet taste.

because of the price and bottle presentation I expected at least the perfect quality of quorhum30. first thing you notice is very strong smell after dried orange.Then you take first shot, and what you can feel, is very significant taste and afterburn of, yes, dried orange. smell and taste are very different from all the others rums in my cabinet. One reviewer here wrote that this is not even a rum and I didn't understand. now I understand,it's significant and specific smell & taste makes you think about this is not a rum.
on the other hand, it's really smooth and you can feel the age. it's pretty sweet (for sweet rums lovers this is a must-try, for others it's over-sweetened) and yes, the bottle looks like from Dallas TV series, looks perfect, even the cap is made from glass. 67/100
