En meget sød og blød karamel rom.
Den er fin til at sippe, og man fornemmer ikke at den er på 42%

Hvis man forventer en god smag af rom, vil man måske blive lidt skuffet. Som det meste fra A. H. Riise er denne rom også meget sød. Den har en dejlig duft af slik og man kan sagtens smage karamel. Jeg har valgt at erstatte portvinen til desserten med denne rom, for det er den helt fantastisk til, og derfor lander jeg på 8.

Good and very sweet rum, taste a littel like candy.

AH Riise. XO Reserve 175 Years Anniversary Limited Edition. The launch of this rare Limited Edition Rum is a celebration of the friendship between two unique men – King Haakon VII of Norway and Valdemar Riise.
Color: red-gold

Aroma: orange marmalade, shortbread, toffee and vanilla

Taste: Rich and creamy, with all notes from the nose along with mint and only a touch of burnt cedar

Aftertaste: At first, the rich creamy taste persists for a long time, gradually drying out with a small bite of oak tannin.

This one is pure gold for me. Free from the disgusting orange note that i have found in other riises. Rich in caramel and free from alcohol tastes.

Leuchtendes Honiggelb im Glas.
In der Nase schön ausbalanciert. Frische Früchte und Beeren tanzen mit Holz und Harz einen Reigen. Saftige Erdbeeren, überreife Brombeeren, süsse Orangen, weiche Aprikosen und herbe Tannine schlagen einen interessanten Bogen.
Am Gaumen wie süsse Medizin. Kandierte Früchte im Frucht Sirup eingelegt und mit Orangenkonzentrat geimpft. Vanille und Karamell bleiben im Schatten der Orangen Aromen.
Im Abgang verweilen die verschiedenen Aromen noch etwas länger auf der Zunge. Etwas Schokolade kommt noch vorbei.
Ein durchaus passabler Riise der mir gut gefällt. Für Einsteiger, Süss-Rum-Freunde und Geniesser.

Bright honey yellow in the glass.
Beautifully balanced on the nose. Fresh fruits and berries perform a round dance with wood and resin. Juicy strawberries, overripe blackberries, sweet oranges, soft apricots and tart tannins create an interesting arc.
Like sweet medicine on the palate. Candied fruit steeped in fruit syrup and infused with orange concentrate. Vanilla and caramel remain in the shadows of the orange flavors.
On the finish, the various flavors linger a bit longer on the tongue. Some chocolate still comes by.
A quite passable Riise that pleases me well. For beginners, sweet rum friends and connoisseurs.

a colleague filled me up a small portion of it to try...very sweet and delicious. Even my girlfriend liked it ;)

When I bought all other I wanted to try...then I will get a bottle of this also for my stack.

Very sweet rum, however aromatic with vanilla, caramel, orange; smooth alcohol and long after taste.
