Rum Artesanal 2001 Fiji South Pacific Distillery 20-Year

The Rum Artesanal Fiji was produced in March 2001 in the South Pacific Distillery in single pot still and bottled in April 2021 as a single cask rum with 62.8% alcohol in cask strength. The rum has no additives or dyes and was't filtered. The 0.5l bottle has all the necessary information and is of high quality.

The rum is absolutely pleasant in the nose and rich with ester notes. The 62.8% are much more elegant than expected. Lots of fruit such as pineapple and glue notes pair with wood and vanilla. There is also some smoke. The rum never becomes intrusive or aggressive. All very pleasant. On the palate, the rum then unfolds its magic. The alcohol is integrated on point and unfolds the rum aromas perfectly. Ester notes and a lot of fruit and wood. Vanilla, caramel but also mint, which spreads beautifully over the nose. Here it is worthwhile to enjoy with all your senses. A great rum. For a long time, wood and bitter substances remain in the mouth. The mouth is pulled dry by the tannins.

To be able to buy such a high-quality rum for 70Euro is a Statement on the rum market. But it should also be mentioned that it was almost impossible to get one of the 281 bottles if you are not well informed. Those who could get one of the RA Fiji 2001 bottling can count themselves lucky, because on the one hand the rum has extra class and the value will reach a multiple of the purchase price very fast.

Der Rum hat keine Zusatzstoffe oder Farbstoffe und ist ungefiltert. Die 0,5l Flasche hat alle nötigen Informationen und ist hochwertig.

Der Rum ist in der Nase absolut angenehm und reich an Ester Noten. Die 62,8% sind dabei viel eleganter als gedacht. Viel Frucht wie Ananas und Klebstoff Noten paaren sich mit Holz und Vanille. Auch etwas Rauch ist dabei. Dabei wird der Rum nie aufdringlich oder aggressiv. Alles sehr angenehm. Am Gaumen entfaltet der Rum dann seine Magie. Der Alkohol ist auf den Punkt eingebunden und entfaltet die Rum Aromen perfekt. Ester Noten, aber auch viel Frucht und Holz. Vanille, Karamel aber auch Minze, welche sich schön über die Nase verbreitet. Hier lohnt es sich mit allen Sinnen zu genießen. Ein toller Rum. Lange bleiben Holz und Bitterstoffe im Mund. Der Mund wird von den Tanninen richtig trocken gezogen.

Für 70Euro einen so hoch qualitativen Rum kaufen zu können ist schon eine Ansage auf dem Rum Markt. Genauso ist aber zu erwähnen das es fast unmöglich war an eine der 281 Flaschen zu kommen, wenn man nicht bestens informiert ist. Wer eine RA Fiji 2001 Abfüllung ergattern konnte kann sich glücklich schätzen, da zum einen der Rum Extra Klasse hat und der Wert ein vielfaches des Einkaufpreises erreichen wird.
