Tento dánský rum se začal znovu vyrábět podle původní receptury rumu „Royal Navy“ přesně tak, jak ho Albert Heinrich Riise namíchal a vyrobil. A. Riise ho doručil námořním plavidlům, které kotvily v přístavu Charlotte Amalie na dřívějších „Danish West Indies“ (nynější Americké Panenské ostrovy).
A.H.Riise Royal Danish Navy rum je kombinací několika různých druhů rumů, které zrají až 20 let. Vyrábí se pomalou fermentací, následně se alkohol destiluje v tradičních „Pot Still“ na rum o síle 85% alkoholu. Touto metodou se vyrábí úžasný rum extrémně tmavé až téměř černé barvy s tóny kávy, anýzu, lékořice, spáleného karamelu, melasy, koření a cedru. Tyto tóny se mísí s exotickou a vytříbenou chutí hořkého pomeranče a bergamotu. Chuť rumu je zakončena dlouhým, plným, silným a sladkým závěrem. Rum Royal Navy se ručně míchá v malých objemech, za studena se nefiltruje a ani se do něho nepřidává karamel.

Chuť je velmi jemná a opravdu hodně sladká. Doporučuji všem kdo dávají přednost sladkým rumům.

Für mich einer der besten Rums.
Süß und mild. Wer süße Rumsorten mag kommt an diesem nicht vorbei.

De fleste ville kunne drikke denne, i min verden meget tæt på en likør.
A kind of varnish like note mingling in with candied oranges.
"Sipped the rum is extremely smooth and totally devoid of any alcohol burn whatsoever. Taste wise it is all cloying chocolate and sugar coated tangerines with a tiny hit of marmalade."

A. H. Riise have risen in popularity in recent years, especially in my home country of Denmark, but the sad truth is, that this bottle have as little to do with rum as it has to do with Denmark.
Nose: Very sugary smell with notes of orange and a small hint of liquorice
Taste: Big load of sugar and caramel with small subtle hints of black liquorice and mocca
Overall: This is a very popular rum, but it is really not for me in any way. I simply don´t get the hype. It has little to do with both navy-style, Denmark or even rum in general.
