Ron Zacapa Centenario 23

First time i rasten it i did not like it. Now it starts to grov on me.

I had this rum straight and it's quite nice. Enjoyed this vanilla flavour, sweet rum with strong oakey notes. Caramel smell, with sweet vanilla taste and oakey aftertaste. A no brainer for all whiskey lovers, but for me it took a few sips before I feel in love. Great rum, but I'd prefer a bit less oakey notes.

Introduced to this 20 years ago. Aleays pleased to find bars that carry it.

I liked it, but would not buy it again. For the price there are in my opion (and taste off course) better suitable rums. I prefer slightly sweeter rums. I'm not a whisky drinker so maybe thats the difference.

For me this is a "Rum of 2 halves"
Initial sip is lovely, sweet, musky, caramely , with hints of oak.
But the flavour sadly doesn't stay, but seems to dissipate into a slightly harsh alcohol after-taste.
Its still a good rum in my opinion, but a bit let down by the finish.

Ein sanfter vollmundiger Rum.
Ein Traum, nach Sandstrand duftend. Weich und wie Samt im Mund und lang im Abgang. Mit etwas Eis öffnet er sich ganz.

Well this is good, without a doubt. But its so silk-soft that its almost getting boring.

Nose: Nothing - so weak that I couldn't determine expression.
Taste: Silky soft, decent aftertaste where i could taste caramelized fruits (Banana and nuts).
This is a good rum, without doubt. And I could drink a lot of it, but it lacks a bit character in my opinion. With this prize-tag im comparing it to SFTC, and to that it is no match.
