Mycket god, lagom söt,lite stark men ändå mjuk. Tendens till whiskeysmak men mycket lite.
En av de stora favoriterna.

Just came home with this beauty...

Directly after pooring this up in a glass there is a weak but noticable whiskey spirit scent to it. After a few minutes it develops to really complex. First comes the honey/cane sugar, then it develops to ripe tropical fruits, figs, sherry, vanilla and some oaky tones, but I am surprised that it's zacapa but still not.

Mouth, first some oaky and berry tones, then cane syrup, lot's of nuts and also sherry tones. Really nice and smooth but also a bit dry. Love it.

I would've given it a 9 if the finish was a bit longer.
This is truly one of Zacapas better rums. It's a lot more interesting than the regular solera 23.

Udgivet i 2020.

Classic Zacappa - no clear information about what exactly you are drinking (aging? How much sugar added? Etc.), but it comes easily down the throat. Perfect sipper after a long day, when you just want to enjoy the evening without being involved in some high fashion super sophisticated spirit.

Not being a huge fan of Ron Zacapa (too sweet) I heard about this batch, The Taming Cask. This is one of the best rums I have ever tried. Great scent of leather brown sugar, deep dark brown color, very long finish that wants you to go back for more. Truly incredible rum. Revisiting round 3, after sampling 4 really great and diverse rums tonight I’m back for more. This one hits my profile great, not sure but think they are hard to come by will be looking for more.

The rum is very well balanced and smooth. Not too sweet with nice banana and vanilla aroma. Dark amber color. Pretty nice bottle and label design, will definitely look good in a collection. Really looking forward to tasting other rums from this series.

This Zacapa La Doma absolutely fits for purpose from my point of view. After the relatively successful limitations of the 13-14-15-19 editions, where I still flew around after guided tastings, another four-part one is coming, which will have an interesting development. Perfect amber color, rather darker. The taste is soft, not so sweet, but it didn't shoot out of the shorts, I can smell vanilla and banana anyway, after 5 minutes even a little smoke. The packaging is also a nice bottle, but for visitors and as a nice gift excellent🥃

Quite a disappointment for me. The nose is fine with wood and one can smell the whisky barells, the taste is smooth and fruity, but a little dull and the worst thing for me is that they kinda forgot (as D&D would say) to give it a finish apart from the sweetness. So in general, it might be a pleasant drink for Zacapa fans, but for me it is definitelly not worth the price.
