Offers excellent value for money and fans of Kracken will save money with this offering from Aldi. For me it borders on being too sweet, very strong vanilla taste but for the price and when I'm in the mood for something different it delivers perfectly.

40% ABV and only about £15, this is a great priced Dark Spiced Rum from Aldi.

Smells very sweet, I get citrus (I thought it was orange, but checking the label it says Lime!) and vanilla and a little bit of spice.

Taste wise it is fairly sweet, not too sweet, but sweet vanilla flavours in the mouth then as it lengthens out you get the alcohol and spice flavours down your throat. Don't really get the citrus flavours that are in the aroma.

A very decent dark spiced rum. I've scored it a 7, but it's actually a 7.5.
