Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
For the price, like others remarked already, there is better, not pleasant in the mouth, taste of gasoline even.. Not my cup of tea, sorry rum..
For that price is not bad, i felt vanilla tones, but not too much
i found it to be a decent sipper and a good mixer. but i actually perferred the 5y and the 1919 over the 7 year. which has a different flavor palette. maybe thats what threw me off.
overall Solid Rum and good to add to the collection.
It tastes young and flat, but still there is bit of harshness. The smell is nice, even better diluted. Vanilla, fruits, nuts with strong freshness. The taste is smooth, but with brief harshness, which sublimes in... well into nothingness. I'm not saying it is not good sipper. It's mostly sipper, because I can't imagine it into mixers. Unless you're going for binge drinking. I actually like this one, because it is some kind of... outsider. There is no great taste, but it still have own specific personality. So if you're rum explorer, don't hesitate to taste. If you are rum purist... stay away.
This column stilled aged rum from the family of Angostura rums is great for tiki drinks. It's complex enough to shine through. I wouldn't say this is a sipper, though.
For this price you can find also better rums. Despite that fact, it is not bad to either sip or to mix.
I feel the taste isnt my type, it taste too much liqure. I can see myself using this to mix drinks with.
Not a bad dark rum, pretty good for the price. Better than Havanna Club 7 years, smoother and more flavour.
Condusive beginning. Nice fruit and vanilla tones. And then, in the throat - a sharp alcoholic punch.
Aromas are not overwhelming. Could not really taste the "age" but overall a good drink to sip on
In New Brunswick, it cost $35. Well worth it. It is ok neat, but tonight I found a can of Angostura Lemon Lime &bitters at Scoop &Save for mix and it really hit the spot. Everyday great Value!
Even Angostura 7 is a relatively good rum I always mix it and mainly with coke or ginger.
Had this on the rocks and it was pretty poor.... Not a decent flavour and left quite a bad taste
Sabor a caramelo y vainilla, me gusta mas q el havana 7
This rum is hard to describe. It seems somewhat whiskey like but with subtle aromatic spice-like flavors that make it complex and interesting. I like this on the rocks with a little water as well as in cocktails like the Old Fashioned. It's not for everyone.
It's like 20$ a bottle, is it magical? No. Is it jet fuel? No. It's just good. Not something you would sip straight, it's harsh. However it is really good in coke. Similar to Appleton Estate V/x with more allspice feel to it.
This is one of those "my first rum" type of rum. Seasoned rum drinkers won't be very impressed by it nor disappointed.
classic rum flavor, excellent saturation at 40%, a good price, quality at an altitude
Dobry ale neni to zadne specialni piti, nic v nem neni citit
Good body and classic rum flavors. Good mixer and surprisingly good with scrambled eggs.
Lacnejsi rum, svetlejsia farba u mna spokojnost vzhladom na cenu. Na miesanie idealny.
Easy sipper, good base for a mixer but may be also drunk straight or with ice. Sweet with lots of vanilla and molasses. Nice entrance into the world of Trinidad & Tobago's rums.
