In New Brunswick, it cost $35. Well worth it. It is ok neat, but tonight I found a can of Angostura Lemon Lime &bitters at Scoop &Save for mix and it really hit the spot. Everyday great Value!

This run has a good character but the 7 years aged was not enough to take the bite out, has a little to much strength in the alcohol taste.

Perfectly aromatic vanilla notes. A fine amber mixer, but in British Columbia overpriced.

This rum is for real pirates. This rum isnt for everyone. He isnt sweet. He is truly dry and clean. That taste of clarity can appreciates only professional pirates. This ron is opposite for El Dorado 12 that is so sweet. At nose you are able to think that Angostura 7 is clarity and sweet, but at tongue its heavy and woody. So this isnt proposition for newbe drinkers. This is proposition only for morning pirates:)

This rum has a decent golden colour, with a deep caramel and slight alcohol smell. Sipping it straight is not overly enjoyable... It is syrupy with a slight smoky taste, followed by a medium burn. Makes a decent rum and coke, although a little light (on flavour) for a seven year old.

For the price, like others remarked already, there is better, not pleasant in the mouth, taste of gasoline even.. Not my cup of tea, sorry rum..

I did not detect all the flavors that the first reviewer ( Mr. Outman) did, however, I do like it. For the money it is not a bargain - upwards of $33. I was expecting more distinct flavor from Angostura, THE name in bitters. I will continue to sample other dark rums - what great joy!

Deep oak but otherwise bland.

Solid mixing but doesn't stand well on it's own.

This is definitely a step up over its younger 5 year old sibling. Not as much burn going down. Similar notes as with the 5 year old with a nice amber color. A flavorful rum that also is appealing to the nose as well. A nice price for a mid range rum distilled in a column still. Yet another good example of a good rum from the island of Trinidad and Tobago. Nice notes of chocolate, honey, maple, oak, toffee and some citrus thrown in. Aged in bourbon casks for up to 7 years.

This makes for a Good Mixer. It's got that barrel flavor you get from aged rum, but its not too sweet or spiced.. it's just got a good RUM flavor which I think lets it not color drinks too much like other rums. Would not drink this straight.

This rum goes easy, it's smooth and had an easy flavour. Sweet smell and and aftertaste. Good for sipping everyday but not extraordinairy.
