NR: Not very flavorful Panama rum, I can't recommend that one

This Artesano Garnatxa Cask matured for 9 years in white oak barrels before maturing for another 3 years and 3 months in a Garnatxa sweet wine barrel from the Mas Llunes winery.
We have here 41.4% abv.
Not very intensive nose, a mix of Panama and white wine aromas. I get some melon and vanilla, paper, very weak cocoa notes in the background. Almost no other aromas.
I find it difficult to separate aromas at all, as the wine finish and the rum cancel each other out.
The taste starts with weak cocoa notes, the I get some fruits like melon.
Further paper, some spices like pepper and white oak. It's not complex at all, but more intensive than the nose.
The finish is a little bit spicy, I get melon, white oak and some bitter notes.
For 12y old rum this is not good enough at all and behind my expectations. I would rate it with 66 points.
