Meget god rom til prisen. Jeg havde egentligt købt den til tiki drinks. men det meste er drukket rent.
I like dark rums and I like this one very sweet like molasses. You'll need to add a few drops of water to tone down the sweetness and open it up.
This one is like a navy rum with dark flavours.
The nose is quite complex and beautiful. I get dry fruits, blueberries, burned sugar and coconut.
Then some vanilla cookies, some molasses and dark wood.
The taste starts sweet with burned sugar, then blueberries and coconut with vanilla. It's tasty but at the end are some notes of young distillate (it's only two years old).
The middle is spicy then sweet with caramel and some bitter notes of tannins. Then again pleasant with coconut and vanilla cookies.
The finish is spicy again with flavours of coconut, vanilla cookies and blueberry muffins.
There is the issue with the dilution and it could be older. It should have more strength.
I would rate this one with 79 points. I contacted Blackwell support for an older version in cask strength, but they don't respond.

Super rich. Christmassy. A very high seven. Maybe a little too much of the black treacle taste for me, also no age statement or mention of it on the label, which makes me wonder how it’s this colour. It cost me £22 which is a ridiculous price for this kind of standard.
This rum has just the right amount of Hogo funk. It doesn’t beat you up with it like Hampden or Smith & Cross. You can sip this and enjoy it. Molasses and banana come though. Smooth and dark. Lots of punch. No sweetness. Long slow smoldering finish. Very nice Jamaican rum at a great price.
Jeden z rumů z nízké cenové hladiny a přitom sušší a chuťově skvělý. Určitě bude patřit ke stálicím u mě.
Nothing very Jamaican going on here, A typical dark rum with some spices and flavours, not bad but nothing to get excited about either. I'll stick To Meyers for dark JA rum needs.
I like this one for its subtle notes of Jamaican funk laced with molasses and vanilla with hints of oak. This one is great in cocktails. It's not great as a sipper, but that's alright. It gets the job done.
Plenty of sweetness with a mild burn. Great in cocktails.
"sweetness of the aroma is overpowered by the youthfulness..."

The nose is rich, dark molasses and caramel.
"The sweetness of the aroma is overpowered by the youthfulness of the blend and the burn is long lasting and leaves little by way of flavour in the mouth, just heat."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
