NR: Sweet and salty PM with Hampden fruits, a little bit too spicy

Today I have a PM with Hampden Finish in the glas. It was a <>H cask from Hampden.
I get high ester notes first like glue, then all kinds of fruits (melon, prune, backed apple), but also some typical PM notes like honey and some vanilla. There is also some white oak in the background.
The nose is fresh and bright, but it seems also spicy. It's like you mixed a Y-Boutique PM with Smith&Cross Hampden.
The taste starts with fruity sweetness. I get honey, melon, prune. Then it turns salty and fresh with vanilla. At the end of the initial taste I get bitter notes of tannins. It's a very spicy rum, I need some drops of water to open it up. The other method is to take very small sips as I do it with all Hampden high ester rums.
The middle starts with honey, backed apple, melon, some tannins and malt.
The finish is very spicy, I get esters with salt and honey. I can reduce the spice with very small sips, I think this is the way to enjoy this rum.
In the aftertaste is melon, honey, salt and a buttery note.
It's too spicy and you need to know how to enjoy this rum.
The Hampden finish works well and adds more complexity. I would rate that one with 85 points, because of the spice.
