The Bellamy's Reserve 12 Years Old El Salvador PX Sherry Cask Finish is a molasses of rum that is bottled with 42% alcohol without sugar.
The rum is quite pleasant in the nose. Spicy with clear fruit notes, it is neither boring nor particularly interesting. Adhesive is in the nose. Like an adhesive pen. Some wood also resonates. On the palate, the rum is then somehow a bit musty. Wood notes are there. Sherry and fruit. Dark fruits. But also bitter substances and a side taste that I didn't like at all. As I said, somehow musty. But the rum also does not want to unfold and remains extremely one-dimensional.
It is of course always a bit subjective, but compared to the other rums from the set, this was by far the worst. I wouldn't buy it.

Der Rum ist in der Nase durchaus angenehm. Würzig mit deutlichen Frucht Noten ist er weder langweilig noch besonders interessant. Klebstoff ist in der Nase. Wie ein Klebestift von Uhu. Etwas Holz schwingt auch noch mit. Am Gaumen ist der Rum dann irgendwie etwas muffig. Holznoten sind da. Sherry und Frucht. Dunkle Früchte sind es. Aber auch Bitterstoffe und einen Nebengeschmack der mir gar nicht gefallen hat. Wie gesagt, irgendwie muffig. Der Rum will sich aber auch nicht entfalten und bleibt extrem eindimensional.
Es ist natürlich immer etwas subjektiv aber im Vergleich mit den anderen Rums aus dem Set war dieser schon mit Abstand der schlechteste. Würde ich nicht kaufen.
