Our Rum & Spirits Trinidad Rum by T.L.D. (Trinidad Limited Distillery) is a molasses rum produced in column style in 2003 and stored in the tropical climate for 14 years. After that, he matured for two more years in Europe. Without additives or filtration, the Single Cask Rum was bottled with 62.8% cask strength. There are 308 0.5l bottles.
The dark rum is simply fantastic in the nose. If he is allowed to breathe and gets time, he is for me exactly what I am looking for. Strong notes of tropical dried fruit, oak, smoke and also spice are wonderfully recognizable. The rum feels edgy and dirty. On the palate, the acohol does an excellent job. It unfolds the aromas perfectly. Light sweetness, fermented fruits and wood notes spread. But also smoke notes and a little leather and glue resonate. The finish is a little gentler with tropical fruits like mango. Oak and roastaromas resonate. The rum stays incredibly long in the mouth and the aromas remain very present. Slightly smoky sweetness and barrel notes resonate.
The Trinidad Rum is simply fantastic and absolutely recommended. Complex, he is lively and demanding. He doesn't get bored. Can also be diluted and then changes somewhat. This makes it a little more fruity. Trinidad rums are just a force.

Danach hat er noch zwei Jahre in Europa nach gereift. Ohne Zusatzstoffe oder Filtration wurde der Single Cask Rum mit 62,8% Fasstärke abgefüllt. Es gibt 308 0,5l Flaschen.
Der dunkle Rum ist in der Nase einfach fantastisch. Wenn er atmen darf und Zeit bekommt ist er für mich genau das was ich suche. Kräftige Noten von tropischen Dörrobst, Eichenholz, Rauch und auch Würze sind wunderbar erkennbar. Dabei wirkt der Rum kantig und dreckig. Am Gaumen macht der Akohol einen hervorragenden Job. Er entfaltet die Aromen perfekt. Leichte Süße, vergorene Früchte und Holznoten machen sich breit. Aber auch Rauch Noten und ein wenig Leder und Klebstoff schwingen mit. Der Abgang ist etwas sanfter mit tropischen Früchten wie Mango. Eiche und Röstaromen schwingen mit. Der Rum bleibt unglaublich lang im Mund und die Aromen bleiben sehr präsent. Leicht rauchige Süße und Fassnoten schwingen mit.
Der Trinidad Rum ist einfach fantastisch und absolut empfehlenswert. Komplex zeigt er sich lebhaft und fordernd. Langweilig wird er nicht. Kann auch verdünnt werden und wandelt sich dann etwas. Wird dadurch etwas fruchtiger. Trinidad Rums sind einfach eine Wucht.
