I have a continental Caroni in the glas? Could be also a TDL from the nose.
It's quite sharp and not very dirty. There is just a hint of sweetness in the nose. I get vanilla, leather, some gum and medical notes. Some ripe, salty fruit is also there like salty melon or melon with olives and honey.
This rum starts with bright fruits like melon and prune, then dirty notes of gum and leather. I get sweetness of vanilla and honey. In the middle I get the honey and wood first, overlapped by tannins. The taste turns salty, I get olives, gum, vanilla and some herbs. It's quite medical like a TDL. It's not very sweet overall but also a little bit salty with olives.
The finish is spicy, I get tannins, vanilla/honey, gum and some tar.
The aftertaste is with honey/vanilla, gum, leather.
It would be a great TDL, but as a Caroni it's strange. I would rate it with 79 points as Caroni.
