The nose is matured and intensive, very good one. I get notes of honey, grasy notes, oak, barrel, ripe fruits like papaya and prune. Must be tropical aging (maybe at least 10y).

The taste is woody. I get honey, oak, wax, ripe fruits and vanilla. In the middle is again the ripe fruit, honey, oak, wax and some tannins. Could be from the woody column still. The taste is not as bright, as I expected from the Duncan Tylor.
The wood reminds me of the Enmore Rum Nation. The finish is a little bit spicy, woody and with ripe fruits.

I think it's a tropical aging. It's very good but not very complex, I would rate it with 88 points.

Guyana Uitvlugt rums are among my favorites with the el dorado uitvlugt being a perfect 10 for me so I’m definitely biased. This is a slight watered down version of that. Discovered this in death & co in NYC and was spot on unmistakable. Light vanilla nose, slight burn on taste with hint of caramel, finish is a bit peppery but solid. Smooth for 52%abv, definitely on my collect list
