Smooth dark rum with a slow, late heat to it. Has a nice deep molasses flavors with a long finish. A tad of spice to it and I think I'm tasting a touch of raisin, but very subtle. Easy to drink and has a nice warming effect. Great for a cool evening. A little high in price...at the current going rate (~$70) in my neighborhood, I'd opt for a bottle of Zafra or Santa Teresa 1796 which are close in qualubut half the price.

This one has a nice bottle.. But i belive that you should have it there.. It has a good taste.. But not good enough to zip.. And as i drinkirum there is many cheaper that would do the trick.. The color is nice.. The smell is pleasant.. But thin.. And have a hint of ethanol.. The teste i low on sugar. Almost like a burbon.. And the finish fades away awful quick.. Another year in the drum would probably do the rum some good.

I was not familiar with this rum, but I’m very please with the quality. Beautiful aromas of brown sugar, molasses and a slight banana on the edge. Palate is medium sweet with good viscosity and very smooth. Love it

Had a double neat at a bar, so it was expensive. I was expecting a bit more character, however when I discovered it was a Bacardi then I was not surprised it lacked character, however it makes a great bacardi! Smoother with more oak than the normal Puerto Rican rum. Still lacks that panache though.

This is an easy sipper. I did not get a big burst of alcohol at the beginning of the sip, and it developed slowly. There is a strong sweet flavor that dominates the bourbon bitterness, so it tastes more like a rum than a bourbon even though it may have aged in bourbon casks. It also has a lot of body - not syrupy, but very present. The finish has a strong honey flavor that makes this rum much more palatable than others aged in bourbon barrels. For finger food to accompany this, I might choose something slightly snooty on crackers rather than chips or pretzels. It sort of begs for that treatment.

Sweet on the nose and really sweet on the pallet, with brown sugar, vanilla, and oak.

Beautiful caramel color, notes on caramel/oak/vanilla on the nose, similar flavors on the tongue with additional notes of bourbon and added sweetness on the tongue, nice smooth finish. Overall an easy sipper with some nice complexity.

Smells a little bit of caramel granny smith apples.

First taste had great promise. Smooth deep caramel taste. No burn whatsoever. Second taste was more medicinal, prunes and wet tabaco leaves (not in a good way).

I can see why people like this rum, but it was a little weird for me with a lingering funky finish.

Very enjoyable rum. I was surprised to find out it was a Bacardi product.
