One of the brands that really got me hooked on rum was Oliver y Oliver from The Dominican Republic. I have since outgrown them, but decided to taste this offering from Danish bottler RomDeLuxe.
Nose: Chocolate, Vanilla, Coffee, Caramel and some slight spice in the end
Taste: Vanilla, Toffee, Cocoa, Tobacco and Raisins with a short and sweet aftertaste
Overall: This is a nice and comfortable rum. There is not a whole lot going on, but that is fine. It is neither complex nor challenging, but is a nice harmless rum for everyone to enjoy. Even though it is on the sweeter side.
