Easily consumable in a bind
I don't use this rum as a sipper, but it is my go-to for Mai Tai's and a few other concoctions when I have guests. It's good for the price and is solid when combined with other specific rums. Nothing bad, nothing exceptional. Just a simple middle of the road reliable rail rum that has its uses.
Good for a cocktail, might by again depending on offering in a supermarket but not a sipper and not one I'd actively seek.
I expected more from the Appleton’s Estate Signature vs other Appleton’s. Nicely complex. A bit too sharp and molasses.
Rum tasting in Sacramento started with Appleton Estate Signature. Pretty decent bottle and label design. Golden color. Plenty of oak and mild vanilla to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Dry burn at the end. Better mixed than neat sipped.
