Caramel, and toffee with a little "fresh" tobacco smell. Taste the rich caramel as well but not overly sweet. Noticeable flavours of Apricot and prunes. This is a very nice sipping rum.

8,5: The first nose of this rum is strong, on grilled nuts. You can really feel the powdery side of the heavily toasted, almost burnt nuts. Baked register is therefore ubiquitous, we treat ourselves to a little softness with a slice of toasted bread. Coffee and molasses are logically part of the fun. With a little rest, the smoke dissipates, we see a more vegetal side with dried flowers and herbal tea. A slightly damp forest gives us a moment of sweetness.Aeration confirms the powdery and dry side of the rum. The rest again allows some floral and vegetal notes to emerge. But we can still say that this rum is firmly focused on the molasses and roasted notes that come from the barrel. Very dark cocoa is added to our nut powder.
8,5:The attack on the palate is very soft, with some tropical fruit, much more so than you would expect. A small hint of salt stimulates the palate for a rather pleasant, less dry and rather complex mouthfeel. In the middle part, the atmosphere of a wood fire appears, the combination of smoke and roundness is quite fair and comfortable. Then the rum returns to its hyper-roasted nature, on toasted and caramelized pecans.
8:The rum slowly dies down, the fire having consumed some of the coffee beans and reducing the molasses until it's even blacker.

Very nice. Good quality. Easy to drink. Medium sweetness. It would be nice if it had a bit more kick to it.

I bought this bottle thinking it would be a treat. But expectations were greater then reality. It’s not a bad rum, but it isn’t on my top shelf.

...awesome exquisite Bottle, you just have to look at it...
Kept it quite some time in my shelf, yet now I just could not resist anymore and I am by far not disappointed.
Good fresh scent, a dark ruby color and a distinguished mild taste...very good combo to keep on sippin'.
Will not be my last bottle!

This is a very good rum with a lot of flavours, and the taste is smooth.
BUT! The price is very high for this quality, so my rating is only 8, not 9...

Rum z produkce italské společnosti Rum Nation, která má v nabídce podobně jako francouzský Plantation rumy původem z mnoha zemí.
Alkohol: 40 %
Původ: Panama
Aroma: Vůně je od první chvíle nádherně vyzrálá, uhlazená, bohatá. Příjemně nasládlá (jen lehce, není to žádná sladká bomba jako třeba od A.H.Riise). Velký podíl vůně si pro sebe zabírá cedrové dřevo, dál nacházím čokoládu, kakao, je tu lehký dotek kůže, za tím pak lehce hřebíček, skořice, exotické dřevo, ale třeba i závan máty, pendreku a lékořice. Velmi komplexní vůně, to se mi moc líbí. (93 b)
Chuť: Chuť je jemně nasládlá, velejemná. Následuje cedr, med, kakao, rozinky, trochu snad i opálený sud, pikantní exotická dřevitost. V dochuti táhlý hutný dojem dřeva, s vlivem hřebíčku. Řekl bych, že v Rum Nation našli ideální poměr mezi jemností a bohatostí. (93 b)

Shrnutí: Skvělý rum, jsem rád, že jsem ho koupil, i když není nejlevnější. Stylově má něco podobného hned s několika rumy, nejvíc asi s Presidente Marti a Quorhum 30, ale našel bych i podobnost třeba s Pampero Anniversario. Musím pochválit i skvělou barvu a nádhernou lahev tohoto rumu.
