8,5: The first nose of this rum is strong, on grilled nuts. You can really feel the powdery side of the heavily toasted, almost burnt nuts. Baked register is therefore ubiquitous, we treat ourselves to a little softness with a slice of toasted bread. Coffee and molasses are logically part of the fun. With a little rest, the smoke dissipates, we see a more vegetal side with dried flowers and herbal tea. A slightly damp forest gives us a moment of sweetness.Aeration confirms the powdery and dry side of the rum. The rest again allows some floral and vegetal notes to emerge. But we can still say that this rum is firmly focused on the molasses and roasted notes that come from the barrel. Very dark cocoa is added to our nut powder.
8,5:The attack on the palate is very soft, with some tropical fruit, much more so than you would expect. A small hint of salt stimulates the palate for a rather pleasant, less dry and rather complex mouthfeel. In the middle part, the atmosphere of a wood fire appears, the combination of smoke and roundness is quite fair and comfortable. Then the rum returns to its hyper-roasted nature, on toasted and caramelized pecans.
8:The rum slowly dies down, the fire having consumed some of the coffee beans and reducing the molasses until it's even blacker.
Apelsin toner och bränt socker, torkade plommon. God rom som passar i skåpet.
Vacker flaska är det också.
Goes down very smoothly, not sure if due to added sugar.... Can't describe too many individual flavoures, however it is very nicely balanced.
Looking forward to try more rums from this Italian brand.
I bought this bottle thinking it would be a treat. But expectations were greater then reality. It’s not a bad rum, but it isn’t on my top shelf.
N- Sweet spice tea, milky vanilla with earthy dehydrated manure and farm-y,. to start. Obvious tobacco breath thru, with coffee make appearance at the tail. (20/25)
P- Waxy, banana and apple skin coating, medium dry, tonic water and tropical fruits. But again, as happened to most aged rum, short on width. (19/25)
F- Medium, clean, solvent, with touch of spiky oak and chewy sweet tobacco. (20/25)
Balance:- Suppose a great deal to see a proper aged statement labeling, which usually misleading when comes to rum. Firm body at 40%, heavy distillates, not too sweet, balanced, warming with present of fine wood. (19/25)
Weighted Rate:- 78pt

The nose is very lovely with raisins, dark chocolate, wood and slightly burnt sugar. The medium bodied palate has notes of molasse, figs, subtle orange peel and dark chocolate. It's very pleasant in the mouth, but still retains a freshness, perhaps due to the slightly woodsy and peppery finish with traces of almond and mint. It has character without being demanding. A real pleaser, thats well put together.
Rum Nation Panama 21.
The bottle: A stylish decanter-like bottle.
Glass: A nice amber color. Scent a slightly scratchy smell of raisins and oak.
Mouth: Raisins, nuts and pepper is the first thing that hit me. Very oak character but I lack any kind of sweetness.
After Taste: . Some earth flavor and a real punch. A nut flavor but quite long.
Summary: . Something for narrow taste for me. Would like to have liked if the barrel lay in a humid cellar for some years. However, it feels that it is a rum that has been done a solid job preparing. For those who do not like sweet rommer this will be a good fit
Den er fin og ikke skidt men ingen tvivl om at det bedste ved denne rom trods alt er den pæne flaske...
At first a good smelling rum, on the sweet side.
First sip : brown sugar comes along with some harshness. A more bitter aftertaste. Not my favourite style.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I like this rum. Smells and tastes of caramel, molasses, a peppery spice, some sherry aging (I don't taste any bourbon as some have suggested), oak, tobacco, and leather.
I'd call this semi-sweet, though I personally like just a bit more sweetness. But definitely not dry, and a very good rum.
