Fruity and citric tones, oaky and with a bit punch.
Very good!

Skúsil som ho ako začiatky s Martinikom. Vo vôni mi nepríde extra výrazný, no chuťovo naopak áno. Jasne známky kakaa a karamelu. Ťažší agricole a odporúčam skôr ľuďom čo toho majú viac napite. Mňa určite nesklamal

This bottling was particularly successful. Only topped from 1998

The colour looks alluring, but the smell is a bit musty. The taste is smooth and appart from subtle taste of molasses and nutmeg it seems to fade quickly to a dry woody aftertaste. Might try it again at another time.

Pas de violence, rond mais sans trop, des arômes caramels sans trop de sucre. Un rhum plutôt équilibré.

Приятный ром, не десертный, довольно сухой, пряный, терпкий, но без дуба, очень хорошо. 8/10
Pleasant rum, not dessert, rather dry, spicy, tart, but without oak, very good.

Bought a bottle of J. Bally 2002 while vacationing in Martinique. Very nice old school bottle and label design. Super dry Rhum Agricole flavors alongside grass, spices, citrus and plenty of floral notes to the nose and palate. Very strong burn at the end being so dry. Rhum Agricole fan boys can easily add 2 points to my score.

Nice, non aggressive nose, slightly floral with a hint of sweetness. As said before, Cognac in color (maybe a tad darker). Spice and alcohol first in the mouth with banana and a bit of clove. Not overly sweet. Nicely balanced. A good sipping rum, and certainly up to anything you care to mix it with. I like it a lot...love, no.

A interesting rum, sweet on the palate with fruity notes of pineapple, banana and fruits. Beautiful mineral and vegetal notes in the end.

A really really good rum. Rich, soft, powerful, complex. The nose has a rich floral/herbal sweetness to it, while the palate has a wonderful earthiness. Quite expensive but really good. Balanced and harmonious.
