Great pure Rum no aging or additives. Close your eyes and it could be an aged rum..

A white rum load that’s loaded with natural sweet fruit flavor. This rum is unique and smooth enough for a sipper, albeit it does have a little heat from only being rested in stainless steel tanks. Privateer white will also add a ton of depth and complexity in any cocktail calling for a white rum. More importantly, you know you’re getting a great and clean product with any privateer rum selection. The owner takes his craft very seriously and never adds additional sweeteners or colors to any of the rums he distills. Do yourself a favor and pickup a bottle if you come across it and be sure to check out the distillery if you’re ever in the area.

Tasted at Laka Lono on 9/19/21. Clear pour. Mild and slightly vanilla aroma. A nasal burn upon exhale.Soft mouthfeel with a touch of grassiness. Quick and clean finish.

First: this and the silver reserve are two different products. Privateer adds no extra sugars to their rums. The banana taffy notes would suggest they add a dump truck of HFCS to every batch. Nope. Instead, they use a high quality single-source Guatemalan grade A molasses. Compare it against their silver reserve (if you can find it) which was fermented, distilled and rested exactly the same way ( but without the special molasses) and you will realize one thing: Raw material matters. Fun as a sipper, spectacular as a mixer. Delicious
