Recommendable to most
Nice and typical Enmore nose with raisins, molasses/coffee, dried fruits, cocoa and caramel. There are also some herbs, wood and earth. In the background is some sherry or cherries and some smoke. Very dark flavors and overall a beautiful nose. The sherry flavor is a little bit too strong. I'm very satisfied but not surpriced.
The El Dorado Enmore 1993 goes in the same direction but there is no sherry, the nose is not that dark and sweeter.
The taste starts with smoke, I never knew this one had an island finish. Then raisins and burned sugar, some dark stone fruits and at the end wood with tannins. The middle taste starts with tannins, then cigaret ash or call it cold smoke. There is also burnt sugar and wood. Unfortunately the taste is not that beautiful like the nose and the smoke distrubs the Enmore flavors. The cask was very active, for just 11 years the tannins are overlaying other aromas. The finish starts with spice then dry fuits, again tannins and burned sugar.
Not the best Enmore rum for me. The smoke don't fit in this composition.
The nose was much better, the taste is far behind. I would rate it 83.
