cant say much more !..............................!
This RVM is a total pleasure. Visually, the bottle design and the dark ambrè colour are two very actractive allmarks. At the nose we have a big impact smell, tipical of the agricoles, with lasting scell of fresh wood. The taste is full, mellow but strong, a bit brackish with natural caramel sign.
Excellent!
only for meditation

Rauchiges Martinique / Smoky Martinique

Bright amber in the glass.
Challenging and not necessarily flattering on the nose. Very complex and the individual strands of fragrance must first be recognized, sorted and examined. Sweet candied fruits lie at the stand next to slowly rotting seaweed, Chardonnay grapes carefully packed in wooden crates are stored at the fish market, a barrel of smoky peaty whiskey lies broken on the cobblestone path.
On the palate, the slightly quirky things fall away. Fruits, freshly crushed in a wooden vat, the staves were roasted extra before. Caramel and exotic spices are poured into an old whiskey barrel and stored in the sugar cane field.
The finish is long and persistent. Caramel, peaty and smoky, fruits, already somewhat overripe linger on the tongue.
A rhum that is too close to a smoky peaty whiskey for me and has all the attributes I dislike in such. For people who like such things the perfect Agricole choice or also to the BBQ in the summer. -8
