Aroma is nice with tropical fruits and pineapple. Explosion of tastes - tropical fruits, pineapple, banana, ginger. The higher level of alcohol is not burning, but helping to highlight all tones. Aftertaste is very long with many different tastes ending with cinnamon.
You will not believe that this is agricole !. 9.5 points

There is a first time for everything, and this is my first time ever tasted from Destillery Grand Arome from Savanna. And this is absolutely not my last time. What a fantastic rum with so strong nose and flavours and incredible long aftertaste. Bit dry with a fresh “sour” like aftertaste. Fantastic!!

Smooth in spite of high ABV

Savanna rums are also new to me. The Wild Parrot 2007 is aged 11 years at 63.9% ABV. In spite of the high ABV it is very smooth and still drinkable neat. A very good rum, however tasting it after a Carone 2000 and V & M New Yarmouth 26 yr puts this rum at a great disadvantage. This is very enjoyable indeed.
