I always pick up a few bottles of this rum when I in St. Lucia. I find this rum best when served on the rocks or straight up. Never a disappointment. Smooth, mellow and the bottle disappears quickly.

This is just a great rum. I guess it's the fact that it's 12 years and made in an area known for their rum.

I enjoyed this run whenever I went back to it.

Deep molasses taste but nothing special to keep me coming back too often.

The massive stopper/cork is really good but for some reason I didn't like the bottle (and the name is a little silly too).

Ended up polishing off the bottle over Christmas with ginger beer and it worked pretty well.

Enjoyed this the moment I got it for my latest birthday. Very smooth, with just enough hints of caramel, oak, and molasses. Straight up or with ginger ale. Worth the price.

Bottle: average
Nose:not so distinctive,suppressed by alcohol
Body: stronger
Tail: very strong,bourbon-like, tough-guy tail :)

If you like stronger, navy like rums...then try this one!

Rhum plus épicé se rapprochant du whisky. Peu d'aromes au nez mais se rattrappe bien en bouche. Arriere gout très plaisant.

When I first smelled this, I thought it would be a sweet rum AKA Zacapa (which I do like a lot), however I was wrong.
The first sip was indeed sweet, however then there was a nice alcohol burn. Nice oak and caramel taste.
Had quite high expectations for this one and it did not let me down.

There is no strong alcohol taste but after the sweetness has gone there is a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. It gets tastier with time at the air and increased temperature.

Vanille boisée ... Belle tinte.

Nose is sweet and inviting. Lot of caramel impressions.
Taste is however completely different, semi dry, light and elegant... aftertaste is semi short. Somewhat comparable to Captain Bligh XO and Abbey 15
This is a weird glass, good but im confused! I think I will have another glass ;)
