Saint Lucia | Aged | 40% ABV
Admiral Rodney Extra Old rum is produced in St. Lucia using a continuous still, and then aged in American oak casks for an average of 12 years.
The rum is named after British Naval Officer Admiral George Rodney, who in 1782 as the Governor of St. Lucia rebuffed the Spanish fleet in the "Battle of the Saints".

Had on one cube of ice in Soufriere. Good balance of dry and sweet. Caramel and vanilla notes. Mellow out with a bit of time in the glass.
Nose is sweet and inviting. Lot of caramel impressions.
Taste is however completely different, semi dry, light and elegant... aftertaste is semi short. Somewhat comparable to Captain Bligh XO and Abbey 15
This is a weird glass, good but im confused! I think I will have another glass ;)
I would recommend this one. It is a good relaxing, sipping rum. It starts off average but the finish is
a nice effn warm wave , really enjoy this. Just need a nice campfire now.
Price/taste/quality is not OK. A nice rum but too expensive. The alcohol is to strong in taste - miss deepth and a bit more sweetness.
smooth, well balanced
I enjoyed this run whenever I went back to it.
Deep molasses taste but nothing special to keep me coming back too often.
The massive stopper/cork is really good but for some reason I didn't like the bottle (and the name is a little silly too).
Ended up polishing off the bottle over Christmas with ginger beer and it worked pretty well.
The bottle is nice, the cap consists of wood and natural cork and makes a great first impression. Nice packaging overall.
The rum itself isn't bad: Very round and with a hint of sweetness. He lacks a little bit of character though.
Strong kick and much smell of alcohol yet nice caramel aromas. Little added sugar. Smells of wood and burnt caramel

Notes of banana and a little tropical fruit.
"There is an alcohol burn. Banana and a little black grape, hints of vanilla contribute to the overall smoothness of the rum. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Like it, because not to sweet for a molasse's rum !
