The cheapest rum that I have ever found

Other than my one rum from Oaxaca Mexico, this is the first true Mexican rum that I have tried. At only $5.49 US for 750 ml. it is also the cheapest rum that I have ever seen and tried. Mexico is known for some fine tequilas, but never for their rums. I took this cheap chance on this one today and the worst that could happen would be that it could be used as a slightly expensive toilet cleaner from a cheap plastic bottle.
The aroma was acetone, but not repulsive. On the tongue it was actually quite smooth. Oh but that brutal after taste just ruined it for me! This would not be a bad mixer and a very cheap one at that. I have had much worse and also a lot better. My rating of 5 is the best that I can give it. If this little bit causes a terrible aftermath, then my rating gets lowered, but so far so good.
