After I was so postively surprised by the Plantation Original Dark Rum Trinidad&Jamaica Blend I ordered this bottle, since it also won a price by the German Rum Festival. But I got a bit disapointed. It is sweet and buring, thats it. For arounf 23 € I now better ones and the Original Dark is more impressive for just 12 €. There is just one Limitation. The version I got was a Guatemala&Belize Blend, so maybe the only Guatelama bottle is better, but I don't know.

Medium sweet, quite nicely balanced, could have a bit more deeth. But a nice rum for the low price.

Land: Guatemala
abv: 42%
fles: 70cl

The Guatemala Gran Anéjo rum from Plantation, isn't the best they do in my point of vieuw.

Don't expect a Zacapa, but this rum is very enjoyable despite its young age. I like it in the nose,on the palete sweety and offering a review into the typical guatemalan rum style which is hard to descibe in words.Of course lacking much depth. I can't wait to move on the next level and try the XO

Voní ako tuzemák. To je jeho najväčšia chyba. Chuť je sladkastá, mierne korenistá, veľmi dobrá.

When I first opened the bottle; based on the smell I thought this would be something incredible.
The taste is not bad; it reminds me of a younger version of the XO 20th anniversary plantation. But at $35 dollars a bottle this is a great value and just goes to show a rum doesn't have to be aged for 15 years to be a premium sipping rum.
