This is my update from February 2024, around 2 years after my first tasting. You can find the original version at the end.
Nose : Sugar cane, gras, Cognac, glue, paint thinner
Palate : smooth, sugar cane sweetness, honey, fresh gras
Finish : medium to long. Apples and Cognac. So let's say : fruity with a smooth spiciness.
Conclusion All in all pleasant, but untypically for a Cachaca and for this result to expensive (see below).
It's more a rum than a Cachaca. Very woody, oak in front. Strong and also woody in a Caipirinha.
Not for every day.
High price here in Germany (about 60 Euros). For this price (or cheaper) you can buy better Cachacas
This is a truly premium product.
Solera system brings a lot of flavors.
No sugar or caramel coloring.
Finally, the cachaça industry is on the right way.
To be tasted neat, please!!
A special bottle, reserva soleira. you can compare this in terms of taste like a basseterrre 1995.
Spicy not sweet
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
