I didn’t know a white rum could have this much flavor. Yes it’s strong, yes it’s funky, yes it’s fruity but all in a good way.

But you knew that right?! Does what it needs to - mixes well, strips paint etc. I wouldn’t drink it neat but in a large mix it holds it own and in smaller mixes it’s a strong option. Just limit the shot size compared to normal!

Very strong aroma but I can't put my finger on what it is. Maybe yeasty but not really. Mixes pretty well. Tastes very strong on its own. I prefer S&C over this when it comes to funk. Gives a lot of bang for the buck. (Bought a bottle for 23€ in europe)

A way to up the ante on your funk! It brings a good amount of very distinctive funk without being overwhelming (add 1/2oz, no more). Having said that, it could use a few more types of esther for a more rounded hogo experience. A good mixer but it is not really for sipping.

I don't know what to say other than I really enjoy what I can only assume is the "funk" I've heard others talk about. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but it is for me!

Bought this for blending and finishing in cask. The aroma of bananas, high ester taste and burn, a bit of cocoa afterward. Looking forward to the result from a cask.

I’ll start out by saying that I greatly prefer Rum Fire from Hampden Estates for its Jamaican funkiness and hogo overload, but as it’s not nearly as widely distributed as Wray & Nephew, this is a great substitute. Affordable. Tasty, love this rum!

WOW! Don't buy it for parties unless you have cab service to your door. Save this one for your own sipping. And I do mean LITTLE SIPS.

Before I learned about real rums, I thought white rum was flavourless.
That was wrong.
This is one of the more aromatic rums and its flavour profile is pretty unique.

Nose and taste are the same. Over-ripe, possibly already decomposing pineapple, papaya, pears, muddy "funk" notes. Brutishly intense, but that is what is great about it.
Note that it is a dry rum. There is some fruity sweetness, but not much of it. Probably no added sugar here.

Great for sipping, but needs to be diluted (and I do like an ice cube in this).

Great with fruit juice. Pineapple works especially well, but nearly everything else should be worth a try.

I love this as a rum and soda. 2-4 cl of Wray and Nephew White Overproof with 3-5 ice cubes in a glas. Fill with soda water to taste (I like 10-20 cl), add one or more slices of fresh lime or lemon. Makes a very dry, very refreshing longdrink. For reference; I am otherwise a whisky soda guy.

I love this stuff. I spoke mixed drinks with this for an extra punch of abv and flavor. I drink this straight. I want to try as Ti Punch. I also want to try “aging” method with oak staves. Great value!!
