Dizajn fľaše sa mi páči a aj cena je ok. Vôňa úplne super! Drevo, med, orechy, zelené jablko a trocha dymu. Chuť nasládla a tak isto veľmi príjemná. Určite stojí za kúpu fľaše!

This stuff is delightful for a Cuban rum. Decent value for money - too drunk for tasting notes

Note: I'm a sipper. My opinion is based on sipping characteristics.

I have a mostly hate affair with Cuban rums and to this day still think they are overpriced and overhyped, just like Cuban cigars. As a New World guy on both fronts, I've found much greater alternatives and this rum caught me slightly off guard.

Upon opening, you are greeted by the aroma of sweet, fruity molasses, which is not overwhelmed by the 41% ABV and does not burn a third hole on your nose. Great beginning, I even smiled. Tasting reveals more of the same and a slight but not overwhelming afterburn. I was properly impressed upon first sip. Plus, there's a subtle hint of smoke, like in a very good whiskey and funnily enough, both taste and smoke remain even on the next day, just like in a good cigar. No clue why other reviewers have rated this so low, to me this is a tasty rare find. I mean, even the bottle looks classy. And I should mention, the amount of added sugar is negligible at 5.5 grams per litre, in case someone cares. So this natural, smooth tasting rum goes straight between Plantation XO and Bayou Reserve in my book.

The only annoying thing is related to its marketing strategy. I was foolish enough to think 13 on the label has something to do with the age. Well, it kind of does and does not. It means "blend 13". And just how aged blend 13 is then? Surprisingly enough, it consists of rums aged 11, 13 and 15 years. The issue here is I had to dig quite deeply on third party websites to find that information, as they don't really care much to share one of rum's most important characteristics on their own website. What they care about however is to inform me in a proper in your face manner, multiple times over, the rum was produced by female crew. I guess this "inclusion" crap contributed to the taste and it wouldn't have been such a great product should it have been manufactured by male crew or something, give me a goddamn break.

No nose but interesting taste: dry, wooden notes, little fruit

barva tmavě žlutá
- vůně zajímavá, karamel, dřevo, výrazné šťavnatézelené jablko, jemné koření
- chuť jemná, koření, dřevo, karamel a opět zelené jablko
Velmi zajímavý, další příjemná Cuba

Lovely colour. Simply, but my taste. Good with a cigare from Nicaragua

quite strong. I like it neat but it’s quite similar to other rums, not much stands out. Quite and average one, I appreciate drinking a unrevoked rum for a change but it’s mot memorable. A very good quality average rum. However the lingering aftertaste is one to remember it subtly melt on the tongue a touch or chocolate/ hazelnut?

Nothing challenging here, smooth with dry finish, not overly complex in flavour profile but still easily enjoyable Sipper

Beautiful amber in the glass.
In the nose dull and heavy, you feel in the hold of an old barge. The ribs were freshly tarred times ago, the stores are filled with wooden boxes full of vanilla beans and caramel sticks. in the engine room next door hums the engine, there is a little smell of lubricants, gunpowder vapor from times past somehow floats in the room.
On the palate, warm, soft and supple like silk of which there are obviously also some bales on board. The caramel picked up is really tasty and makes a great marriage with the vanilla beans. After further rummaging, boxes of candied fruit are still found, at the very back of the aggregate, some tar sticks to it and small splashes of oil can be made out.
In the finish, the flavors slowly disappear piece by piece in the dark sea like the knobs of the plumb line.
A rum that needs a lot of time, warmth and love, but then shows its great sides. Had this sample open for about an hour and tempered to 25°C. For lovers of slightly dirtier rums, Cuba style fans and connoisseurs -8

Very nice, balanced, dry, smooth & soft. Oak, vanilla, tobacco leaf, chocolate, dry fruits in taste and aroma. Very good for sipping. A bit expensive - you can get better for this money, but still good!
