Pepi Mongiardino is an Italian selector, whilst Moon Import has a continental aged process of 17 sounding years in what I presume are ex-Islay peated whisky casks (Caol Ila, maybe?). The angel’s share is reduced in Scotland instead of tropics. This rum appeaes peculiar: a lot of raisins, flowers and a melting sensation disclose to the nose and palate, with a sophisticated smokey Islay whisky nuanced finishing. A good discovery! Limited release of 520 bottles.
