Campesino Aged XIV 6-Year

Wasn’t expecting much given that I’ve never seen this brand before but after tasting it I was shocked it was this good. Reading the label it’s a blend 80% 8yr old barbados+dominican republic and 20% 6yr old panamanian rum. Given that I love both Panama and Barbados rum this was a slam dunk. Nose is slight caramel with a bit of burn, lightbtoffee on the taste with a long lasting caramel burn…it’s almost an 8 for me…just a little watered down for my taste maybe if it were a higher abv it would be a 9

This is the finest Foursquare company origin rum for the price I have ever experienced. I should rate this closer to a 9. Maybe 8.7 if there was that possible designation. For around $36, it's pretty hard to find something with more qualities for less than 2 to 3 times the money. All-around beauty!!

The first rum I've ever had that is just a joy to drink neat, tasting of a delicious woody caramel with a hint of vanilla, with no burn or harshness. The bottle is also looks wonderful at the bar and can be used to make/hold creme de via or other cocktails when you only have about a cup left. Just wish it was more widely distributed.

Should have know if it came from Foursquare distillery it had to be good. Was not disappointed at all, some good.

My daughter bought this for me my Christmas gift, and I’m glad she did. The aroma is very reminiscent of a good bourbon, and the taste shows notes of wood, and finished with a smooth citrus flavor. Overall great rum.
